In between investigations I focus on Creative Thinking as a Researcher, Published Author, and Illustrator.
INVESTIGATION SERVICES
I studied Investigation Services with the legendary Adrian Francis at the Australian School of Security and Investigation, with rigorous training in Evidence standards, and identifying relevant legislation, finding it and applying it to investigation.
Situation Analysis and Management
The first step to resolving a Situation is fully understanding it. When you find yourself in a Situation it can be difficult to objectively grasp what is happening. Analysis can be crucial. I was trained in Geo-political Intelligence Analysis with the Hunt Laboratory for Intelligence Research SWARM program. THis included training in the various analytic lens used for understanding situations from files of evidence and statements.
Sometimes a Situation requires a detailed Chronology that concisely and effectively communicates that for you. I am trained as a Paralegal so that this can be done in a format acceptable for the legal system, but in a trauma-informed way.
Sometimes Situations are like a maze which requires exploration and analysis of possible options, and advocacy such as correspondence or other documents so that a traumatised person does not have to repeatedly tell their trauma.
Sometimes resolution of a Situation is reliant on evidence gathering that preserves Chain of Custody of the Evidence in such a way that it is admissible in Court, or shows the clients position so strongly that an adequate resolution can be negotiated and legal action avoided.
Often, I find that there is a financial component that needs to be clarified, or wrongdoing identified, whether that is in the Annual Reports of an organisation, or bank accounts. To enable this, I studied Accounts Administration cert 3.
I am very interested in truth, and deceit detection, and the ways that can be identified and proven or quantified. My training in Geo-political Intelligence Analysis with the Hunt Lab included identifying logic flaws, and I rated in the top 5% in Evaluating Analytic Reasoning in Intelligence Analysis.
I've negotiated with the lawyers of global Cruise ship companies, successfully defeated false and vexatious claims of IP theft, successfully convinced large organisations to remove defamatory claims from their websites, and put out the bushfires of inflammatory false statements on social media. I've assisted families dealing with complex Situations caused by dementia, gathered evidence and written chronologies that enabled Intervention orders, and produced documents and evidence files used by lawyers. I've negotiated positive outcomes in a wide variety of complex situations. I've helped people survive complex Situations and find their way to safety.
I have a preference for finding the win-win resolution, but sometimes the 'win' for the other parties is avoiding legal action against them.
Sometimes Situations turn out to be criminal as defined by the Crimes Act, and therefore are best dealt with by Police, and I assist in preparing documents and evidence files to facilitate their consideration of what has occurred.
All of this requires rigorous and assured confidentiality.
If a Situation requires assistance of a type I cannot or do not provide, such as physical surveillance, or the legal advice of a lawyer, I have a network I can refer to.
